Advanced Wheel Throwing
Advanced students will work on independent, special projects in this advanced pottery wheel course. You are encouraged to pursue your personal interests and projects, or develop and polish your pieces. As an experienced student, you will continue to strengthen your skills through individualized instructor assistance, group demonstrations, and interaction with other students. Students should already have advanced knowledge of throwing on the pottery wheel. Clay and glazes used will be determined by the instructor.
Prerequisite: Participants must have taken Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Pottery Wheel OR have significant pottery wheel experience prior to registering for this class.

Steve Jaskowak
Stephen Jaskowak has been working with clay, in one capacity or another, on a daily basis since 1983. He started out as a functional potter working in potteries throughout Wisconsin. He received his B.A. in 1996 from the University of Wisconsin– Parkside and his M.F.A. from Miami University in 1998. Steve has been the ceramic studio manager at MAM since 2012 and is currently an adjunct professor at Kean University. Steve likes listening to the Grateful Dead and has been to over 437 of their concerts.
