Program:

FAMILY ART ACTIVITY

5:30–7:00 p.m. | Geyer Studio

Join us for a fun and creative beaded bracelet activity perfect for the entire family! This hands-on workshop is suitable for all ages and skill levels. Participants will learn basic beading techniques and design their own unique bracelets using a variety of colorful beads. It's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together while exploring creativity and self-expression. All materials are provided, and everyone gets to take home their beautiful creations. Don't miss this delightful family-friendly event!

 

SCAVENGER HUNT

5–9 p.m. | Galleries & Side Entrance

Pick up a scavenger hunt and claim your colorful prize at the side entrance after finding the LGBTQIA+ artists in our galleries! Courtesy of TD Bank.

 

T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

5–9 p.m. | Cornerstone Café

The students who work at the Cornerstone Café need a new uniform and you have the chance to help choose it. During the night, you'll have the chance to view t-shirt designs created by MAM access students. Vote for your favorite and the one with the most votes will become the offical uniform of the Cornerstone Café. Those who take part in the voting will recieve 20% off their Café order. The winning design will be announced the week after Free First Thursday.

 

LIVE MUSIC

6–8 p.m. | Leir Hall

Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring the eclectic sounds of Sammy Mellman and other talented music acts. Sammy Mellman, known for his unique blend of folk, indie, and experimental music, will perform some of his most beloved tracks, including "Slow Genius," "Morningside," and selections from his EP "That Bird." His music, described as a mix of melancholy warmth and introspective lyrics, promises to create a memorable and intimate atmosphere.

 

PRIDE TATTOO STATION

6–8 p.m. | Leir Hall

It’s Pride Month! Show your pride and get temporarily tattooed over here at MAM! These tattoos usually last about three days.  Put the tattoo face down, wet with sponge and press for 10 seconds. That’s it!

 

DOCENT TOUR

6:45-7:30 p.m. | Meet at Cornerstone Café

Embark on an insightful journey with knowledgeable docents exploring the highlights of our latest exhibition, spanning a century of artistic expression and diverse perspectives.

 

EAT & DRINK
* Cash (and credit) bar with specialty drink + mocktail
* Food trucks at MAM’s side entrance (Rhythm & Ribz Smokehouse, RainBao, and Rita's Italian Ice)
