Paper Quilling/La Filigrana

Learn the detailed art of paper quilling: rolling, gluing, and folding strips of paper to create a three-dimensional design. Perfect for sharing your sentiment with a loved one or putting in a frame for display. After class you’ll be able to apply your newfound paper crafting skills to decorate just about anything, such as other cards, gift tags, wall decor, and more!  All materials will be provided.

Aprenda el arte detallado del acolchado de papel: enrollar, pegar y doblar tiras de papel para crear un diseño tridimensional. Perfecto para compartir su sentimiento con un ser querido o poner un marco para exhibir. Después de la clase, podrá aplicar sus nuevas habilidades de elaboración de papel para decorar casi cualquier cosa, como otras tarjetas, etiquetas de regalo, decoración de paredes y más.  Se proporcionarán todos los materiales.

Nanci Iovino

Nanci Iovino graduated with a B.F.A. in illustration from Syracuse University. She studied painting and illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Parsons School of Design. Nanci has worked as a freelance painter, muralist, and interior decorator/designer.

For the past 18 years, Nanci has worked as a MAM lead educator, involved in a wide variety of museum events, community programming, classes, and camps.  She teaches all age groups with a special focus on creative aging and beginning art studies.  Her current teaching philosophy is based on individual and personal inspiration.
