Bilingual Sunday Studio: Nature Embroidery with Shannon Anderson

FREE with museum admission and for members, with advance registration required.

Join us this Sunday for a fun family art-making activity taught in both English and Spanish.

Inspired by the exhibition WOOLPUNK®: Sunflowers & Graffiti’d Sky in the Garden State, families this week learn basic embroidery techniques to weave flowers, leaves, and other natural designs in their own creative artworks.

This program is aimed at families with children ages 5-12, but all are welcome.

La exhibición está inspirada en “WOOLPUNK®: Sunflowers & Graffiti’d Sky in the Garden State” (WOOLPUNK®: Cielo de Graffitis  & Girasoles en el en el estado Jardín),  En esta semana las familias  aprenderán a crear un bordado básico de tejido de flores, hojas, y otros diseños de la  naturaleza.

Esta clase está dirigida a familias con niños desde 5-12 años, y todos serán bienvenidos.

Shannon Anderson

Shannon obtained her BS in Teaching: Art Education from Keystone College in May of 2018. She began her journey at MAM in 2015 as a counselor in the SummerArt Program, and had such a nice time that she decided to come back for more. Now a museum instructor, Shannon teaches numerous museum classes, such as SummerArt and Drop-in Studio. Her artistic concentration is drawing and painting, however her creativity stretches to all media of art, including ceramics, sculpture, fibers, digital media, and film photography.
