Introduction to Fiber Art
Experiment with fiber art materials and techniques to create 2D and 3D works. This class will explore an array of projects using yarn, fabric, and cord as well as materials found in nature using techniques including weaving, wrapping, and stitching. Students will learn techniques that can be used to create decorative and utilitarian objects as well as fine art.
All skill levels and abilities are welcome. All supplies will be provided.

Lauren Cirrito
Lauren Cirrito graduated with a BFA in Communication Design from Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts and is an artist, graphic designer, and teacher of art & design. Her fine art is an eclectic mix of subject matters and mediums and has been shown at various exhibitions throughout NJ. Lauren is a NJ licensed teacher and has taught pre-k through high school, as well as programs for adults, guiding her students through the creative process and instilling confidence to take on challenges. Gardening, art making, walking around NYC, and hanging out with her family and friends make her happy!
