This class is designed for kids with all levels of experience, including those looking to advance their art skills and develop their artistic voice! Your child will learn drawing and painting techniques and skills while working in a variety of wet and dry media. This is a social class where looking at and talking about art is encouraged. Taking inspiration from exhibitions at the Museum, participants will cultivate their aesthetic awareness and imagination. Your child will work toward producing their own artworks that creatively blend an exploration of materials and subject matter with their own interests and style.

Emily Kenselaar

Emily Kenselaar is an art, yoga, and contemplative care practitioner with a diverse background in education, research/writing, and art therapy. With over a decade of experience working in the commercial art gallery world, she has cultivated a wellspring of creative insights which inform her philosophy as an educator. Emily is passionate about the therapeutic power of artmaking and the healing modalities which can support and empower us in the practice of creative expression.
