The Montclair Art Museum has just finished its most unprecedented season ever with our exhibition Cézanne and American Modernism. This blockbuster show opened our doors to thousands of new first-time visitors from over 900 different towns. As we head towards our 100th Anniversary in 2014 we will continue to bring exhibitions to our community and the surrounding region that both inspire and educate, such as: A Force for Change: African American Art and the Julius Rosenwald Fund, which is currently being showcased at MAM through July 25, 2010. Culturally important shows such as this are what make MAM a vital and fundamental organization for our community.

Programs, lectures, tours, art classes, outreach programs, and world-renowned exhibitions are all available due to donations from supporters like you. Less than 2% of MAM’s funding is actually covered by admission fees, which is why we count on support from individual donors like you.

We are aware that difficult economic times have made a number of our donor friends and families withdraw from some philanthropic causes, which is why your continued support is particularly significant. Every donation makes a difference, whether it be $25 or $25,000.  It all adds up to help MAM continue to grow and prosper as an important cultural art institution in your neighborhood.

Donor Recognition Levels
Each donor to the Montclair Art Museum's Annual Giving Campaign is acknowledged and recognized through one of several giving levels. Contributions of $100 or more are acknowledged in the Museum’s Annual List of Donors on a plaque in the Museum Building as well as being listed in the fall issue of Inside MAM and in the Museum's Annual Report.

Tribute Gifts
Gifts to the Annual Fund are also a wonderful way to honor or memorialize someone. We will acknowledge your contribution with a note informing the family member or friend you designate. Click here for more information about making a gift in memory or in honor of a loved one.

What is the difference between the Annual Fund and Membership?
When you become a member, you give a gift that gives back to you. In return for your membership dues, you enjoy special benefits and privileges like free admission, discounts at the Museum Store and Art School, discounts on theater and concert tickets, a subscription to Inside MAM, and invitations to private members-only events such as exhibition previews and receptions. A large portion of membership dues is tax-deductible, while all gifts to the Annual Fund are outright, 100% tax-deductible donations that are used solely for the support of day-to-day operations of the Museum.

Matching Gifts
To promote charitable giving, many companies match their employees' gifts to nonprofit organizations. If your company has a matching gift program, your contribution to MAM can be generously increased and will do even more to support the Museum's mission.
