The first Thursday of the month (October–June), MAM is open late, 5–9 p.m., with free admission, dynamic programming, live music, tours, and a cash bar. Offerings will change on a monthly basis, providing something new to see or do at every First Thursday Night.
January 15 (Wednesday): MAM's 100th Birthday Party
On Wednesday, January 15, the community is invited to celebrate
MAM’s birthday with a free evening at the Museum. The event will include an opening reception for 100 Works for 100 Years, Spencer Finch: Yellow, and Respond: Poet in Residence Project and performances by the Newark Boys Chorus, WFUV DJs Rita Houston and Russ Borris, and students from Montclair State University’s John J. Cali School of Music. Celebrate MAM’s birthday with a signature cake from MAM's Honorary Guest The Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro and watch the Centennial Film directed by Dawn Porter. Enjoy additional light refreshments and a cash bar!
Additional parking and shuttle service available at Hillside Elementary School and the adjacent Orange Avenue Parking Deck.
